The fire that started this weekend in California's Santa Barbara County was "completely out of control", county fire Captain Dave Zaniboni said.

The blaze known as Wall Fire started Friday (July 7) and has since burned 4,400 acres. Greene quotes Mike Eliason of the Santa Barbara County Fire Department saying, "A lot of vegetation hasn't burned on this side for a good 40, 50 years on the North Slope". More than 2,000 people are estimated to have been evacuated yesterday, CNN reports.
