Manchester United midfielder Marouane Fellaini is being linked with a summer exit from Old Trafford.

According to Turkish newspaper Fanatik, Galatasaray "continue to work on the transfer" for Fellaini, with the club's technical director Igor Tudor said to be the man working on the deal.

He faces an uncertain future because Jose Mourinho fancies adding a new midfielder to his squad.

"We need a player like Fellaini who can shuttle around in midfield".

However Mourinho appears unhappy about the idea of losing the Belgian worldwide to the Turkish team, hailing the 29-year-old's importance to his Red Devils team.

After reports on Saturday that Galatasaray were after Marouane Fellaini, there followed suggestions that this could be the midfielder's last game for Manchester United.

Manchester United eased to a serene 3-0 victory over Valerenga as the European leg of Tour 2017, presented in Aon, began in Norway.

Then a minute before half-time, Fellaini rose high in the box to meet a Mkhitaryan corner and via a deflection, his header went into the back of the net to give Mourinho much-needed relief going in at the half-time whistle. He made 42 appearances last season, averaging statistics of 1.9 tackles, 1.1 interceptions and 1.7 clearances per match.

Of course, Jose could also just be playing hardball in order to get more money for Marouane in order to buy another player perhaps but it's more likely that the manager will stick to his words. "But to them, scoring goals is always important".

Pereira's namesake, goalkeeper Joel, is thought of very highly at Old Trafford while the likes of Timothy Fosu-Mensah and Demetri Mitchell did well in the two full-back positions in the second half.
