Experts of three countries completed coordination of a memorandum on establishment of the de-escalation zone in Southwest Syria, Russia's Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said on Friday.

It is obvious that this US strategy will be presented during G20 Summit in Hamburg, where the first official meeting of Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin is planned.

"The United States and Russian Federation certainly have unresolved differences on a number of issues, but we have the potential to appropriately coordinate in Syria in order to produce stability and serve our mutual security interests". Moscow has staunchly backed Syrian President Bashar Assad, supporting Syrian forces militarily since 2015.

A U.S. Navy aircraft shot down a Syrian warplane in the southern part of Syria in June after the U.S. -supported Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) reportedly came under attack from pro-Assad forces. Washington hit a Syrian air base with a missile strike in April after accusing the Assad government of killing dozens of civilians in a chemical attack.

USA aircraft shot down two Iranian drones in Syria in the month of June and shot down a Syrian Regime plane.

"Today in Amman Russian, American and Jordanian experts. agreed on a memorandum of understanding to create a de-escalation zone" in the regions of Daraa, Quneitra and Sweida, Lavrov said.

Mr Lavrov said Russian Federation and the U.S. would coordinate with Jordan to act "as guarantors of the observance of this [ceasefire] by all groups".
