Severe Thunderstorm Warning in effect for several parts of the state

Looking forward to this weekend, scattered thunderstorms are possible but not expected to be severe.

It's important to heed storm warnings, according to the American Red Cross. A few of these storms could become severe, especially north of a line from Mount Pleasant, Texas to El Dorado, Arkansas. We will once again face a threat for isolated severe storms with damaging wind gusts, hail and/or an isolated, weak tornado. The National Weather Service in Tulsa predicts the storms decrease in intensity as they move eastward.

But moderate sized hail is possible and while it's only a small chance, the National Weather Service says they can not rule out a tornado.
