And from the looks of the trailer it is obvious that the film has been inspired by old western films - its very evident from The Gunsligner's action sequences and The Man in Black's Southern drawl. If you destroy that tower (which is what the Man in Black really wants to do), you unleash unholy fury on Earth.

They'll bring a ton of versatility and quality to these characters. A new beast comes for Jake and Idris Elba's Roland; an earlier theory that we get to spy a place called Algul Siento, home to existence-threatening Breakers, seems likelier than ever before.

In the 90-second-long new trailer, Idris Elba's Roland Deschain aka Gunslinger is sworn to protect the dark tower from the McConaughey's Walter Padick aka The Man in Black. Stephen King's The Dark Tower, the ambitious and expansive story from one of the world's most celebrated authors, makes its launch to the big screen.
