Netflix's 'Last Chance U' star arrested on murder charges

According to a report from the Knoxville News Sentinel, former IN wide receiver/running back Camion D. Patrick is being charged with criminal homicide IN connection with the fatal stabbing of Caleb Thomas Radford IN Alcoa, Tennessee.

Camion Patrick and Isaiah Wright are among four men charged in connection with the death of Caleb Radford on July 25.

According to WATE, Wright appeared on the Netflix series "Last Chance U" which took place at East Mississippi Community College.

In 2015, Patrick sat out the entire season due to academic ineligibility, and then suffered a torn ACL in the following offseason.

Wright left EMCC and enrolled at West Georgia but after being ruled academically ineligible, left the school. In August, police said they had arrested two men and charged them with criminal homicide. He is being held at the Monroe County Correctional Center in Bloomington, Ind.

Last Chance U director Greg Whiteley told Awful Announcing in July that Wright was one of his favorite players to be around in two seasons of filming the show. IU confirmed to the network on Thursday, however, that Patrick has now been suspended as he awaits extradition in an in jail.

Former IU football player Camion Patrick was arrested in Bloomington on Wednesday morning by IUPD in connection to a murder in Tennessee. Meanwhile, the 20-year-old Wright was arrested on Wednesday and is now expected to be transferred to Blount County Jail.

Later in the season, Wright's story took a darker turn, as frustrating injuries led to repeated clashes with his coaches, which led to scholarship offers drying up. He played in only 10 games for in, all last season, catching six passes for 154 yards and a touchdowns and adding four carries for 10 yards and a score.

As for Patrick, his football career was blighted by injury and although he was granted full scholarship via a "medical hardship waiver", meaning he would have been allowed to complete his studies without playing football, he has been suspended following this news.
