"The bloodstains of more than 120 BJP and RSS workers killed in political violence in Kerala are on your (Vijayan's) clothes".

The saffron party's 15-day padayatra will span across 154 km, covering 11 districts of Kerala.

14 people, he claimed, were killed in Kannur after the communists came to power in May 2016, even though provisional police estimates put the figures at five BJP workers and three CPM workers. Addressing a rally in the CPM bastion, also the hometown of Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, Shah said that workers were victims of "political murders". "But we have to work hard to wrest the state from the Left", a senior BJP leader told ThePrint. "We will use democratic means to answer its violence", said Javadekar. Thirteen BJP workers have been brutally murdered in a short span of time. Shah said BJP members from across the country would visit the state and take part in the march against political violence. "I want to tell CM Pinarayi Vijayan that the more they try to muddy the political environment, more the lotus will bloom in Kerala", the BJP president said. Kerala CM Vijayan is directly responsible for it, added Amit Shah in Kannur.

Mr Shah also promised to hold simultaneous marches in all state capitals to expose the politics of violence pursued by Kerala's ruling CPI (M).
