Apple iOS 11.1 causing trouble for many users

An iPhone iOS 11 glitch is making some Apple users consider throwing their newly updated phones out the window.

"Here's what you can do to work around the issue until it's fixed in a future software update", Apple said.

Users have come up with several fixes, including turning off predictive text via settings or downloading a third party keyboard from the App Store. Tap the "+" symbol then in the Phrase option type "I" and in Shortcut, type a lowercase "i". While a lot of iOS 11.1 users are experiencing the bug, it doesn't seem limited to this newest build, as folks running iOS 11.0.3 have experienced it as well.

"I had to turn off my auto correct which is super annoying", wrote another iPhone user on Apple's discussion forum.

Soon after the release of iPhone X, Apple released iOS 11.2 Beta 2. According to its support page, you can add the letter "I" to your autocorrect's dictionary via Settings General Keyboard Text Replacement. In the meantime, you are recommended to take help from the workaround fix provided by the company to type correctly.
