Catch-22 tells the story of Captain John Yossarian, a U.S. Air Force bombardier who challenges the bureaucratic rule known as catch-22, a paradoxical requirement that makes it almost impossible to be relieved from duty. Adapted from the 1961 Joseph Heller novel, "Catch-22" is set in Italy during World War II.

Yossarian's only way to avoid the missions is to declare insanity, but the only way to prove insanity is a willingness to embark on risky missions, thus creating the novel's absurd Catch-22. said Clooney will play the role of Colonel Cathcart.
