Phoenix Suns Agree To Trade Eric Bledsoe

As the Philadelphia 76ers prepare for Tuesday's game against the Utah Jazz, the hottest topic of discussion surrounding the National Basketball Association at the moment is the recent trade involving the Phoenix Suns that sent Eric Bledsoe to the Milwaukee Bucks.

In exchange, the Bucks sent center Greg Monroe and two highly protected picks - one first rounder, one second rounder - to Phoenix in order to bring Bledsoe to the Cream City.

Bledsoe is averaging 15.7 points, 2.3 rebounds and 3.0 assists in three games for the Suns this season - his fifth with the team.

While the Sixers obviously won't take time on the court away from players like Ben Simmons or J.J.

Eric Bledsoe got his wish-he finally gets to leave the Phoenix Suns Hair Salon.

The deal was announced Tuesday, hours before the Bucks played in Cleveland.

Monroe got one first-place vote for sixth man of the year last season and finished sixth in the balloting overall.

Just days after he was reportedly set to begin using the team facilities again in order to stay in shape, the Suns sent Bledsoe to the Milwaukee Bucks. Adding Bledsoe's ability to run an offense and shoot from the perimeter could be big for this team moving forward.

While he's got more tools at his disposal, the pressure on Kidd to win now surely ratchets up following this trade. When he signed with the Bucks in the summer of 2015, Monroe was considered the most notable free agent to choose that small-revenue franchise. Though, the report does indicate that there would be lottery protections for the first-round pick.

The Suns could also maximize their return for Bledsoe by shipping Monroe to a third team prior to the deadline.

Bledsoe previously had met with Suns owner Robert Sarver and McDonough during the preseason and requested a trade, sources told ESPN. To have a leader at the point guard position is exactly what this team needed.
