Two students badly injured in vehicle attack in France, local media reports

Toulouse prosecutor Pierre-Yves Couilleau said the man told police he "deliberately" hit the group in Blagnac around 4 p.m. with a Renault Clio vehicle, BFM TV reported.

At least three people were injured Friday when a speeding auto deliberately slammed into a crowd outside of a school in Toulouse, southwest France. According to the French police, a man driving a auto outside a high school near Toulouse "deliberately" rammed into the students, leaving two of them in a serious condition, AFP said.

The person was not on a security watch list and had minor offenses, mostly drug-related, police said.

The crash took place in front of Saint-Exupery high school in the suburb of Blagnac.

The man told police that he "deliberately" drove into the crowd and that he suffered from psychological disorders, according to the report. The victims were believed to be aged 22 and 23 years old.

The report says the driver is a 28-year-old man, who was arrested on the site.
