In retaliation to Saudi-led coalition's announcement to shut down all Yemen ground, air and sea ports, the Houthi rebels said they could be deploying this newly launched anti-ship missile "very soon" targeting Saudi ships near the strategic port city of Hudaydah.

The Huthi rebel media outlet Al-Masirah also reported the two air strikes.

The move came after Saudi Arabia intercepted a missile fired towards Riyadh, which it blamed on Tehran.

The Arabian coalition, which is fighting the rebels-Houthis in Yemen, lifted a temporary ban on flights to airports in Aden and Sauna in Yemen.

On Thursday, the Houthis rejected the US allegations, saying they built the missile themselves and fired it in response to coalition bombings that have killed civilians and the ongoing blockade.

It urged in a statement that humanitarian aid be allowed to enter the country immediately, as Yemen has registered one of the highest rates in postpartum deaths.

Yemeni Houthi rebels have directly rebutted USA assertions that a missile launched into Saudi Arabia earlier this month was manufactured by Shiite ally Iran.
