The reunited family made a brief appearance in front of reporters at the State Police barracks on Saturday, according to News Channel 9.

But a text message she sent to a friend indicated she was with Rodriguez, CBS reported.

Rodriguez is now being held in a NY jail and faces a charge of interfering with the custody of a minor.

On Friday afternoon, a New York State Police officer in Syracuse spotted the auto the two were believed to have fled in, the Columbia County Sheriff's Office. It's believed she had left voluntarily with him.

Frisina was detained and her family has been notified, the sheriff's office said.

"We are emotionally drained, but we are absolutely elated to have her safe". Frisina told police that she left with Rian willingly and she was unharmed.
