Jessica Falkholt's life support switched off

Home and Away actress Jessica Falkholt has had her life support turned off, nearly three weeks after a horrific Boxing Day auto crash that killed her parents and sister.

Jessica's extended family had kept a bedside vigil in the Intensive Care Unit at St George Hospital where she was in a medically induced coma.

Falkholt has been in a coma since the accident, and had her life support pulled on January 11, just one day after her mother and father were laid to rest.

There has been no official confirmation from the NSW Police or hospital that the actress has died. Bystanders managed to pull Jessica and Annabelle from the crash before the vehicle burst into flames, but Annabelle died three days later in Liverpool Hospital.

The 29-year-old actress and her family were involved in a fatal crash on Boxing Day, where her parents, Vivian and Lars, were instantly killed.

On its website, the show said: "Goodbye handsome Jess".

The machine was allegedly turned off just a day after her family's funeral, which saw her mum Vivian, dad Lars and sister Annabelle laid to rest.
