Apple's genius employees keep running into glass walls

But the idea of using glass, however, isn't the most impressive detail about this structure, Apple's design chief Jony Ive said. The men involved in the cases were left with minor cuts, it's reported, though were not, apparently, hospitalized.

According to a new report from Bloomberg, the staff had tried to navigate around the problem by sticking Post-It notes on the glass surfaces.

Apple's new 175-acre campus is billed as somewhat of a feat of architectural design, consisting of a ring-shaped, 2.8-million square-foot main building clad in the world's largest panels of curved glass. Unfortunately, these papers reportedly disappear because "they detract from the building's design"-perhaps removed by agents of Apple's Gestapo wearing invisibility cloaks?" After the unveiling of the first look, the campus architecture was praised by fans and publications for its sleek appearance. Steve Jobs tasked celebrated British architect Norman Foster to design the company's new headquarters back in 2006 based on his own conception-a giant flawless ring to rule them all, built using giant glass panes, carbon fiber, and ground unicorn carcasses. "The achievement is to make a building where so many people can connect and collaborate and walk and talk".

If Apple will not act soon, some employees may take legal action for the workplace violation.

Apple to Revamp Software Development Cycle, Adopt Slower Cadences
Bloomberg is also reporting that the expected redesigned home screens for iPhone, iPad and CarPlay, won't be released until 2019. A former intern at Apple reportedly leaked a portion of source code for iOS, the proprietary iPhone operating system.

As you'd expect, Apple isn't commenting and won't let the general public into the building. It's not entirely clear how many such incidents have occurred, though people who are supposedly familiar with the situation told Bloomberg that this is something that has happened repeatedly since the campus opened.

So far, MarketWatch reports, there have been no complaints to the US Occupational Safety and Health Administration.

"The workspaces and parklands are created to inspire our team as well as benefit the environment", said Apple CEO Tim Cook previous year. Walking into clear glass at the Apple Store continues to be a hazard, warns our own Michael Steeber.

The problem with Apple's glass walls is exacerbated by the fact that employees often walk around the building with their noses in their iPhones, a habit that's become quite common, especially among younger iPhone users.
