Moore is charged in Alabama with sexual assault of a child, distribution of video depicting the assault and first-degree criminal sexual conduct. Authorities said the 44-year-old has several arrest warrants out of Detroit and is now facing 11 additional felony charges in Alabama.

The little girl in the video, whose age is not being released, was located and is safe.

The video in question, being circulated on Facebook and other social platforms, shows a young girl being forced to perform oral sex on an adult male.

In Michigan, Moore faces four counts of criminal sexual conduct, two counts of child sexual abuse, one count of using a computer to commit a crime and one count of sexually explicit visual matter involving a child for alleged abuses dating back to 2011. Investigators said they believed Moore was a flight risk and needed to be brought into custody.

It isn't totally clear how far the messages have actually spread - numerous police statements seem pre-emptive, and it's possible that the spread of the video is more limited than the widespread warnings might suggest.

Over the past few days, a video showing a sex act with a child has been shared on Facebook by many, in the effort to get the suspect identified and caught.

Law enforcement officials across the country are asking people to stop sharing a video on Facebook that depicts child pornography. They say the assaults happened at his home in Detroit and in Alabama.

The Paducah Police Department says it wants to alert you about a video being shared on Facebook that could land you with felony charges if you share it.

A woman, Tonya Moore, was taken into custody Monday night in connection with the investigation. Police detectives have contacted authorities in Alabama, and police there say the child has been found and is safe.

Both Moore and his fiance are in the Elmore County Jail. But for many of those people, the decision will backfire since they could be charged with distributing child pornography - a criminal offense.

Police said the child in the video possessed great similarities with the one who visited the St Clair Police Station with her mother last Thursday, with subtle differences.

Local, regional and global police have advised their citizens that sharing the video, no mater the noblest of intentions is a criminal offence.
