But there's a catch: Bethesda's Todd Howard mentioned that Elder Scrolls VI would be their next major release after another game, an original sci-fi property called Starfield, which Howard introduced as being a "next-generation" title. The game will see "dozens" of players making up the titular Fallout 76, the first vault to open up following the nuclear attacks that devastate the series' world.

Fallout 76 beta sign-ups are live on the Bethesda website. You return to find the town destroyed, and you must rebuild it. Rebuilding the town unlocks new NPCs, quests, and decorations, and you can visit friends' towns as well.

The thirty-six trophies clearly mirrors Fallout Shelter's Xbox One achievements, so it doesn't appear to be for a new game.

The game will have dedicated servers and a B.E.T.A - the Break-it-Early Test Application - will be available for players to test the game. The Nintendo Switch version supports both Joy-Con and touchscreen play, and both releases, like the existing versions on PC and mobile, will be free to play. Howard cheekily stated, "I've read on the internet that our games have had a few bugs", referring to how a lot of Bethesda's games have launched alongside a heap of bugs.
