Liverpool set to seal move for Nabil Fekir 'on Friday'

It had been reported that the Frenchman would complete his move to Anfield before the tournament kicks off in Russian Federation, but Lyon President Jean-Michel Aulas today (Thursday) said that it was far from a done deal. If reports from the Mirror are to be believed, Liverpool are hoping that the French club would agree to sell Fekir for a fee of around £50 million.

The France global had not been expected to finalise a switch to Merseyside before the end of this summer's World Cup.

"The whole thing will certainly not be completed during the World Cup, and I don't think anything will change before it".

Fekir is due to undergo a Liverpool medical at Clairefontaine, the France national team's training base, before signing terms on Friday.

Despite this, Goal understands Liverpool believe a deal can be thrashed out before Fekir flies to Russian Federation with his national team this weekend.
